Question About Using Localtonet for App Testing

Hello Localtonet Team,

I’m developing an Android application similar to scrcpy, but designed to work over the internet (WAN) instead of a local network, allowing users to remotely control their Android device from anywhere.

The app uses the OkHttp library for network communication.

I would like to use Localtonet temporarily for testing and development purposes.

Could you please confirm:

  • Whether this use case is allowed under your terms of service
  • If there is any risk of account suspension or banning for this type of usage

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out and for providing details about your project.

Using Localtonet for developing and testing an Android application that enables remote device control over WAN is allowed under our terms of service, provided that the service is used strictly for legitimate, lawful purposes.

There is no risk of account suspension or banning as long as the application is not used for malicious activities such as hacking, phishing, unauthorized access, surveillance without consent, or any other form of abuse.

If the service is found to be involved in activities that violate our acceptable use policy, including but not limited to hacking or phishing, the associated account will be suspended or permanently terminated in accordance with our policies.

If you have any further technical questions or need assistance during your testing phase, feel free to let us know.

Best regards,
Localtonet Team
